Finding a Box...

I'm ranting a little here, Who knew that it was so hard to find a place with four walls, at least 12-14 foot ceilings, a few I-beams, actually run by a business man who does not change his mind and give you 24 hour decision making ultimatums. SORRY!!!
But our search shall continue for a BOX... a small industrial type space where we can employ the tools (rings, kettlebells, bumper weights, pull-up bars, and dynamax balls) to make you a more fit specimen, ready to accomplish any task that may get in your way. But bringing a fitness revolution to Starkville and the neighboring area seems to be a bit harder than thought. We believe that that where you train is less important than where you train and who you train with matters more than what tools you have.

Since campus will be busy today with tailgaters, i thought it would be safe to run the 5K at the research park, around the loop. If you want the 'atmosphere' of being on campus, text me and let me know. i'm flexible. 662-312-4811. i have 5k loops all over starkville!!

I was thinking that we can do this at the ROTC bldg, it has two pull-up bars...a short and high one. If you like the idea, hit me with a text....let me know your thoughts. we would have to mark off a 1/4 mile (400M) route but it would not be too hard.

Incident at Shira Field House...

So you guys may be wondering about yesterday... Basically, if your not an athlete, former athlete, or part of the athletic programs at MSU, you cannot use the Field house as a facility for fitness improvement. In short I (jason) can workout there, but the rest cannot because of liability issues. which is correct. It is an issue, however we (all) can still use the track and practice football fields (although these are also MSu facilities). This presents problems with time of day, as we know at 5:30 its dark. And our search for a box continues....

Wall-ball, 20 pound ball, 10 ft target (Reps)
Sumo deadlift high-pull, 75 pounds (Reps)
Box Jump, 20" box (Reps)
Push-press, 75 pounds (Reps)
Row (Calories)

In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute.The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. On call of "rotate", the athletes must move to next station immediately for best score. One point is given for each rep, except on the rower where each calorie is one point.
